When you open this book, you'll be bowled over by the colorful quilts. You may even think - "way over my head, here!" - I did! But after you look through the book, you will realize that the author has provided us with a great way to make wonderful contemporary quilts, with some very easy piecing (hence the name, I guess!) A great method for piecing, when you are wanting to try some hand-dyes, or do a color study.

This is my "nod" to paper piecing! Carol Doak has put together a great book, and one I've used a lot - just not the paper piecing part. It's a really fun idea to have two vests "for the price (closet space) of one". You'll be amazed at the variety of looks you can achieve with the simple designs.
