AVAILABLENo Time on My Hands ORDER The quilter's classic - follows the life and times of a Nebraska quilter
during the early years of our state. A true story, from an area not too
far from my "home base".
Expanding the Basics ORDER Everything you'll need to know to conquer some of the more unusual seaming
dilemas in your life! Great quilt photos, and a good basic course in putting
together all sorts of seams.
Quilter's Complete Guide ORDER A step-by-step approach to just about everything you might encounter while
learning to piece and quilt. Projects range from beginner to more advanced, and
cover a number of finishing techniques, as well.

for gift-giving, or for your own use.
Thimbleberries Book of Quilts ORDER A fun book, lots of great projects, many with a "country" or down-home feel
to them. I especially like the "heart-flower" (my name for it) pictured on
the cover. It's easy to piece, and a very versatile block. Other patterns
include houses & trees, sunflowers and poinsettas. NO

AVAILABLECrazy With Cotton: Piecing Together
Memories & ThemesORDER This is the only book in my store that I don't personally own. BUT I have a
good friend who has it, and she has made some really great pieces using the

eventually - so many books - so little time! NO

AVAILABLEEasy Pieces: Creative Color Play
with Two Simple Quilt BlocksORDER When you open this book, you'll be bowled over by the colorful quilts. You may
even think - "way over my head, here!" - I did! But after you look through the
book, you will realize that the author has provided us with a great way to make
wonderful contemporary quilts, with some very easy piecing (hence the name, I guess!)
A great method for piecing, when you are wanting to try some hand-dyes, or do a
color study.
Easy Reversible Vests ORDER This is my "nod" to paper piecing! Carol Doak has put together a great book,
and one I've used a lot - just not the paper piecing part. It's a really fun
idea to have two vests "for the price (closet space) of one". You'll be amazed
at the variety of looks you can achieve with the simple designs.
Legacy : The Story of Talula Gilbert
Bottoms and Her QuiltsORDER Again, quilt history buffs should read this one. Also, those of you who claim to
not have enough time to quilt - here is your eternal inspiration! Find out how this
little lady managed to become a wonderfully prolific quilter, despite severe trials
and hardships. It's a true story, written by her granddaughter.
Family Ties: Old Patters
from New ClothORDER Here we find Talula again! This time, you will have a chance to replicate some of the
quilts shown in Legacy - or make your own version from the patterns provided. These
are really great quilts, and worth giving a try. NO

AVAILABLEIn Love With Quilts ORDER A pattern book with LOTS of easy, fairly quick projects. Again, a strong
country or casual flavor to the designs, and pieces that will fit in almost
anywhere as part of your own home or as welcome gifts.
Quick Country Christmas Quilts ORDER My favorite of the Debbie Mumm books - probably because I like Christmas
so much! Neat tree skirts, wall quilts and ornaments. I'm especially partial
to anything "Santa", and she's included him generously here!
Quick Quilts from the Heart ORDER Another great pattern book! See the string-pieced star on the cover? I've had
one of those pieced for about three years now - yes, I have UFO's of my own! I've
never quite decided how I want to proceed from the center yet, so I'm just letting
it "ripen" - when it's ready, it will tell me -- In the meantime, I've made about
four other projects from this book - all easy and all great!
